Healthy Fast Food
TomorrowsFood reads with interest the ever expanding empire of Alan Yau. He is the man who founded Wagamama, the Japanese noodle chain with a single outlet in 1992, going on to sell it to investors in 1998.
Since then he has gone on to own some of Londons most influencial restaurants, Hakkasan became the first Chinese restaurant in the country to gain a Michelin star, Busaba Eathai for Thai, Sake No Hana doing Japanese, while Yauatcha has a Michelin star and goes from strengh to strengh.
Well now he has anounced that he is about to launch a chain of fast food restaurants as well as a bakery in London. The restaurant food is described as Healthy Asian, he intends to develop this into a global fast food operation. The bakery is due to open on Wardour Street in June and finally an upmarket restaurant called Hakka Berkley specialising in Northern Chinese cooking.
Definitely a trend setter to watch!!
